The Suberco viewpoint offers the best view of Nazaré
Located steps from the funicular station in Sítio, above the center of Nazaré, this clifftop viewpoint offers a bird’s-eye view over the town and its main beach. This view has illustrated countless postcards and tourism brochures, and today is the perfect spot for selfies.
You can see almost the entire town and its main beach from the viewpoint
When you step off the funicular station, turn to Rua Azevedo de Sousa. You’ll find a terrace facing the town, at 110 meters above sea level. Continue to Rua do Horizonte, and you eventually find yourself in the big town square with the Nossa Senhora da Nazaré Sanctuary. You’ll see tourists taking photos from the terrace embellished with a traditional Portuguese cobblestone pavement, and a monument by the Memória Chapel, honoring explorer Vasco da Gama and recalling his stop in Nazaré to pray before his voyage to India.
The viewpoint is the place to go for the best photos of Nazaré
